4th of July Treats

Don't forget to your dog during this years 4th of July celebration. Check out these fun summer recipes that your LuckyPup will be sure to enjoy.

Pupsicles

 

Ingredients:

2 cups low salt beef or chicken broth
2/3 cup water
2 or 3 ice cube trays
Small rawhide sticks

Directions:

Mix water with beef or chicken broth and pour into popcicle trays. Place in freezer and serve cold. Add a rawhide stick halfway through the freezing. This recipe is quick, easy, and fun. It's probably best to serve this dish outside.

Dog Ice Cream Peanut Butter Banana Freezies

Ingredients: 
1 Cup Plain Yogurt
1 Banana, peeled
1/2 Cup Peanut Butter
1 T Honey
1 T Brewers Yeast

Directions:
Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and mix/blend until fully combined. Spoon batter in to desired containers and freeze. You can use three 4 ounce ramikens for this recipe. An ice cube tray will also work. These treats freeze very solid. It is recommend to slightly defrost before giving them to your dog.

Bite Size Doggie Ice Cream Treats

Ingredients:

2 cups vanilla yogurt (or plain low-fat)
Mashed bananas
2 tablespoons honey

Directions:

Mix ingredients and freeze in ice cube tray. Voila...sweet, cool bite-size treats for your pooch!
